Sri Krishna Devarayalu once said ‘desa bhashalandu, Telugu lessa’. To promote such a great language and it’s heritage,Tarangini celebrates several Telugu festivals. Ugadi and Deepavali are two important festivals celebrated by Tarangini and it’s members. As part of celebration, Tarangini conducts events for the members to share their joy and festive spirit.  Every year, there will be two major events  (Deepavali and Ugadi). During these events, members are encouraged to show their talent by singing, dancing  and various acts of play. Apart from these two events, Tarangini celebrates Sri Rama Navami, Independence Day (Aug 15th) and Vinayaka Chaviti  and Bathukamma festival as well.

Children are the future of our community. To develop leadership  and people skills, Tarangini heavily emphasizes  involvement of children during these events. Every child is a STAR at Tarangini. Over 75% of the event time is dedicated to bring out the talent from our children.

Tarangini is constantly looking for artists. If you have any stage skills and interested in showcasing during the events, please contact

Spiritual programs:

While pursuing cultural path, Tarangini did not forget the need of the life. Tarangini sought  blessings of  Sri Swami Paripoorananda Giri Swamiji  in 2008 and organized Swamiji’s discourse on  ‘SEVA BHAVAM’  in Bhagavath Gita during Sept 2009 at Jain Center, West Chester. Many devotees showed up and enjoyed spiritual practices taught by Sri Swamiji. Tarangini raised  $500 plus funds and donated for  Vyasashram that supports orphanage for boys and girls, free boarding and lodging for poor children and aged and free clinics and old-age home. Vyasashram is located between Tirupathi and SriKalahasti in Andhra Pradesh.
